Marsa Alam
Embark on a two-day journey from Marsa Alam to Luxor, the ancient capital of the Pharaohs and home to some of Egypt’s most iconic monuments. This tour is designed for travelers who want enough time to explore Luxor’s grand temples, legendary tombs, and breathtaking architectural achievements without rushing.
Day 1: Travel to Luxor, Karnak, West Bank Sites & Overnight Stay
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Marsa Alam, followed by a comfortable 4–5 hour drive in an air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor.
Your first major stop is Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built. Walk through the awe-inspiring Hypostyle Hall with its 134 towering columns, explore the Sacred Lake, immense obelisks, and chronicle 1,300 years of ancient Egyptian history in one place.
Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Luxor’s West Bank.
Visit the world-famous Valley of the Kings, where over 60 royal tombs are carved deep into the Theban mountains. You’ll have access to three standard tombs; entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb is optional for an additional fee.
Continue to the elegant, terraced Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, built for Egypt’s first female pharaoh and considered one of the architectural masterpieces of the New Kingdom.
Stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon, two imposing statues guarding the remains of Amenhotep III’s temple.
Afterward, enjoy a peaceful Nile boat ride (felucca), offering relaxing views of Luxor from the water.
Check in to your 3- or 4-star hotel in Luxor and enjoy a free evening in the city. Dinner can be arranged at your hotel or a local restaurant (optional)
Day 2: Luxor Temple & Return to Marsa Alam
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the beautifully preserved Luxor Temple, famous for its avenue of sphinxes, monumental statues, and ancient inscriptions. The morning light gives this site an unforgettable atmosphere.
Savor another traditional Egyptian lunch before beginning your comfortable return trip to Marsa Alam.
