Explore the legendary West Bank of Luxor on a private tour from your hotel, experiencing some of Egypt’s most remarkable archaeological treasures. This tour immerses you in the history of the New Kingdom, visiting iconic tombs, temples, and statues that have fascinated travelers for centuries.
Your journey begins with pickup from your hotel in Luxor in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. The first stop is the Valley of the Kings, the ancient burial ground of over 60 pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, Ramesses II, Seti I, and Thutmose III. You can choose to enter Tutankhamun’s tomb for an additional fee to see the legendary resting place of the boy king.
Next, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning mortuary temple carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. The temple’s terraces, colonnades, and intricate reliefs depict the divine birth of Egypt’s famous female pharaoh and her expedition to the Land of Punt.
The tour concludes at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive 18-meter statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These statues once guarded the entrance to his mortuary temple, and legend has it that one of them emitted a mysterious sound at dawn, giving rise to the “singing statues” myth.
After exploring these iconic sites, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor, completing a day filled with history, architecture, and ancient wonder.
