The diving, snorkelling, and boat trips are best suited for swimmers or families with older children, whereas the submarine and glass-bottom boat trips are perfect for younger families or those who may not be confident in the sea.

No problem. Hurghada has a large aquarium you can visit, providing the perfect opportunity to see not only the most popular fish of the Red Sea but also a selection of other land animals too. There are even some small sharks there! You can join in the feeding time and watch as they are fed their lunch or dinner. In the farm area of the aquarium, they have some flamingos, Nile crocodiles, and everyone’s favourite – monkeys!
Maybe you have a love for horses? Why not go horseback riding at sunset along the seafront? Or, go for a canter across the desert plains…both are available. Or, maybe you’d just like to visit the stables to pet and feed the horses. There are a handful of stables that offer this, as well as assisted horse rides. If it’s a charitable heart you have, and you’d like to visit the local animal rescue center, Bluemoon animal shelter has visiting times where you can see the puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats they have saved and now look after. There is also a handful of other animals there, but this is dependent on what is there at the time of visiting. You can go feed the animals, show them some love, leave a donation, and leave knowing you have done good even whilst on holiday!
From Nature to Shopping
With two large malls and a street dedicated just to shops, there are plenty of options to choose from. Senzo Mall is the most popular mall amongst visitors, with branded shops and a large grocery store. You can find anything from shoes and bags to perfume and makeup. It also hosts a large duty-free shop, which you can visit up to 48 hours after landing in Egypt.

Sheraton Street is the place to be for the ‘shopaholics’. With a variety of different options, you can find the high-quality knock-offs from flip flops to perfume; there is something for everyone’s liking. Buy a souvenir or treat yourself; there will definitely be something you like.
Egypt is known for its healing oils and herbs. When visiting Sheraton Street, you can find shops specifically for these items. You can explain to the shopkeeper what it is you need ‘healing’, and nine times out of ten, there is a natural product exactly for that. With secrets passed down throughout the years from ancient Egypt, you could be surprised and find something you didn’t even know you were looking for!
