Stroll between two great lines of sphinxes as you enter Karnak Temple to see the buildings and sacred lake within the complex. Pause for lunch at a local restaurant then visit the Valley of the Kings’ royal tombs and Queen Hatshepsut’s vast temple before returning to your hotel.
Everything was well organised. It’s an early start and quite a bit of time on the road, but you do get to see a lot in one day. Karnak Temple was incredible, and the Valley of the Kings was a real highlight. Our guide was knowledgeable without overloading us with too much. Lunch was decent too. If you’ve never been to Luxor, this is a great way to experience the key sights without the stress of planning it all yourself.
